We've always created from a place of sincerity. Our first game - crafted with the delicate brushstrokes of our watercolor artist - was a deeply personal offering. Yet, a single negative review on Steam was enough to shake our confidence and steer us away from that platform. It wasn't just the critique - it was the disproportionate weight it carried, and the silence that followed.
We've tried to speak openly about human values, social tribalism, and the systems that shape our world. We've never targeted individuals, yet we've received more personal attacks than we've ever made. We recognize that we are not always in the right. We are learning, evolving, and sometimes stumbling. But the imbalance is hard to ignore.
Public spaces have become increasingly hostile to nuance. Double standards and hypocrisy make it difficult to share our thoughts without being mischaracterized or dismissed. We've come to accept that dealing directly with people - at least for now - is beyond our capacity.
So we're changing course.
We will no longer engage in direct customer contact. Instead, we will work with partners to release our products. If our content is deemed too controversial, we are open to respectful collaboration to reshape it. We will not dilute our voice, but we will listen - if the conversation is fair.
We are afraid of you. And we publicly request that you do not attempt to dox us or interfere with our business in any way. We are creators, not combatants. We ask for space, not silence.
This is not surrender. This is self-preservation. We will continue to create, to challenge, and to dream. Just not on terms that ask us to apologize for caring too deeply.
With resolve,
